Introduction

Students will know the key players of the fight for England in 1066, understand the struggle and each person's claim for England, the details about the Battle of Hastings and be able to locate relevant locations on a map of England.

Goals

Students will examine several websites explaining the Battle of Hastings, conflict leading up to it, and several maps of the battle and surrounding areas.

Directions

1. Read and understand the information about the Battle of Hastings and identify the key players. 2. Examine the map of the Battle of Hastings. 3. Understand the map of England and surrounding areas.

Directions
